New Strains on the Menu, from Jungle Pie to Dante’s Inferno
What’s more exciting than a brand-new strain hitting the dispensary menu? Some crazy strain name with a wild-looking nug staring at you through your screen, hypnotizing you with the promise of a mystery paying off with sweet delight.
The excitement new strains bring is exactly why we try to balance off Pass flower offerings between the new and the classic. With several large batches coming down the pipeline, let’s take a look at some of the new strains that have hit our menu, and more that are to come.
Recent Pass Strain Hits
Finding a new batch of premium genetics isn’t as easy as throwing seeds into soil and letting nature do the rest. New strains require time and observation to determine what each individual cultivar requires. Over the past year, we’ve determined some new strains that quickly became Pass favorites.
Jungle Pie
This hard-hitting cross of Jungle Cake and Wedding Pie has been selling like hot cakes. While you guys love smoking Jungle Pie, we love growing it. These chunky plants yield large amounts of bud per plant without affecting the TAC or the terpenes. It provides all the dessert terps from its predecessors and packs a potent high to accompany it. Jungle Pie is here to stay.
Pie Scream
Pie Scream is our unquestioned terp-king (or queen, actually). We’ve been growing Pie Scream since late 2024, and it has consistently tested at over 4% for terpenes content. Many consider anything over 2% terpenes to be high, so doubling that time and time again is incredible!
However, from our side of the fence, Pie Scream yields much less than strains like Jungle Pie, growing small, shiny clusters instead of big, burly buds. This means our batches of Pie Scream are typically smaller, so get them when you can.
Snowcaine
Sativa strains are a hot commodity at our dispensary. Choosing a new one took serious consideration. The final choice was Snowcaine, an aptly-named sativa strain. Snowcaine crosses Sour Snow and Mimosa, giving sativa fans the effect they’re looking for with bright, fruity, and herbal terpenes.
The classification of sativas and indicas in terms of the effects they give is a little misleading, as the minor cannabinoids, unique body chemistry, and terpenes actually dictate what effect you get. It just so happens that many sativas contain those very terpenes, and Snowcaine is no different.
Ice Cream Cake
Ice Cream Cake is about to take off on our menu. A hit with customers due to its dessert terps and a hit with our cultivators due to its chunky, trichome-laden buds. As of now, we only have Ice Cream Cake in pre-rolls, but we have multiple benches full of this sweet treat. Keep a lookout in the coming weeks for some Ice Cream Cake flower.
Governmint Oasis
Some strains serve a dual purpose. Governmint Oasis, a select strain from Belushi’s Farm, is both a great smoke and a great washer for hash rosin products. A “washer” in the cannabis industry is in reference to a hash rosin production in which a major step of the process is to soak the cannabis flower in ice water, washing the trichomes off it to then be strained out.
Governmint Oasis yields a large amount of trichomes, allowing us to get more bang for our buck with a potent and flavorful strain to boot. A large batch of Governmint Oasis hash rosin is currently in production with our hash-making partners, Sweetgrass Botanicals.
Permanent Marker
When selecting new strains to add to your library, it’s important to look for strains with pedigree. If it’s an instantly recognizable strain name, it’s because people like it, people buy it, and people buy it again.
Permanent Marker, the 2023 Leafly Strain of the Year, is one of those cultivars. Even though it’s only a few years old, Permanent Marker’s name holds some weight because of its gassy, funky tastes and flavors that so many cannabis consumers are pining for.
Super Boof
The same logic in selecting Permanent Marker can be applied to Super Boof. As the 2024 Leafly Strain of the Year winner, Super Boof exemplified consumers’ infatuation with fruity, candy-terpene strains. A cross between Tropicana Cookies and Black Cherry Punch, Super Boof boasts a citrus and fruity profile, complemented by a giggly and euphoric high.
Dante’s Inferno
Don’t be discouraged by the hellish name; Dante’s Inferno puts the comedy in The Divine Comedy, having consumers report a giggly, relaxed mood. Fans of Cookies genetics will love Dante’s Inferno for its cross of Oreoz and Devil Driver, giving off sweet and creamy aromas. This tingly hybrid is also a looker, producing big, flashy nugs that catch your attention.
More Belushi’s Farm x The Pass Strains
Our relationship with Belushi’s Farm has been fruitful for over a year now. However, neither they nor we want to become complacent, so we introduced some new genetics to our partnership.
Don’t worry, fans of existing Belushi’s Farm x The Pass strains; we did this without sacrificing existing offerings. Instead, we added a few more benches in our grow rooms to produce Grape Gas, Hash Burger, and Gelato #41. Each of these strains were provided to us from Belushi’s Farm themselves to ensure they are the exact cuttings and clones that they phenohunted.
In addition to those three new strains that are currently on our menu, we recently harvested Belushi’s Farm Obama Runtz and the all-time classic Blue Dream. We’re all so excited to have a full and robust lineup of Belushi’s Farm x The Pass genetics on our menu.
Future Pass Strains
As for the remainder of 2025, you’re going to have to stay connected with our social media and newsletter to see what new genetics are hitting the menu.
We understand the important balance between keeping it fresh and keeping fan favorites around when it comes to strain selection. So while yield, growing requirements, and personal perspective on growing strains play a large role in strain selection, our main indicator is you, the customer.
