Berkshires Trail Cleanups: Coast + The Pass
Amongst the first things you’ll hear about the Berkshires is our stellar network of trails and hiking spots that have visitors and residents alike scaling everything from high-rising mountains to serene half-mile walkabouts. For many people, including ourselves, there are few better places to get your smoke on than surrounded by a view straight out of a magazine cover. Trees look taller, open spaces fill with warmth and wonder, and you’re not thinking about the fact that your car loan payment was due three weeks ago.
Needless to say, we take pride in our hiking spots here in the Berkshires, so we like to keep our trails clean. Over the past few years, we have scheduled several staff trail cleanups throughout the southern Berkshires. It’s a win-win. The trails get cleaner, and some of our staff get to cut out a little early to go on a hike. This time around, our good friends Coast Cannabis came to town to join us in picking up trash while we hiked up Monument Mountain.

All the way on the other side of the state, Coast has been cleaning up the beaches of Eastern Mass for years. Making sure their community’s beaches are clean and accessible has been a mainstay of Coast’s ethos from the jump, so it’s no wonder that they were willing to drive all the way across the state and hike up a mountain with us!
It was a tough climb in the heat, but it’s always rewarding when you reach the summit, especially when you’re cleaning the trail on your way up. We’ll keep you updated on our next trail cleanup in the area and make sure you’re doing your part to keep the Berkshires beautiful for all.
